THE State Government will continue funding for the City of Maribyrnong’s drug program with a grant of $460,000.
The municipality is identified as one of five drug hot spots in Melbourne, along with Melbourne, Yarra, Port Phil-lip and Dandenong.
The money will cover the costs of the Maribyrnong’s syringe management program, drug safety officer the outreach program, which is run in association with Open Family.
Other services that run in the municipality will also benefit from the grant.
