THE Department of Sustainability and Environment last Friday announced almost $450,000 in aid to help local governments tackle weeds on private land over the next year.
The money was allocated to 31 local councils across the state for 33 projects as part of the ongoing Tackling Weeds on Private Land grants program.
Tackling Weeds on Private Land is a $9 million, three-year State Government initiative encouraging land managers to work collaboratively to better manage weeds.
