Bins left

CONFUSED West Sunshine residents have contacted Star to ask why their recycling was not collected last week.
As reported by Star last week, no waste was collected in Sunshine two weeks ago due to Brimbank City Council waste truck drivers attending the industrial relations rally on 15 November.
Brimbank engineering and operations general manager Leigh Harrison told Star residents who missed out on recyclables collection the week of the rally would have their recycling picked up on their next scheduled week.
“Recycling/green waste bins were not emptied (last week) if it was not the normal collection week for that bin,” Mr Harrison said.

The council informed residents that if excess green waste and recyclables could not be fitted into the appropriate bins, they should be put in plastic bags, left on the nature strip and would be collected alongside last week’s normal waste, he said.
