SEVEN teenage boys have pleaded guilty in the Children’s Court to charges relating to a DVD showing a teenage girl being abused and degraded.
However, they may not face jail sentences. Prosecutors told the court they had made “significant concessions” and would not ask for detention orders against those who pleaded guilty.
The charges are one count of assault covering all the sex acts, one of making child pornography and two counts of procuring an act of sexual penetration by intimidation.
Two of the boys are 18, three are 17 and two are 16.
Each of the youths will be professionally assessed for a supervision order, taking into account their school and home life to determine their counselling requirements.

The judge said the charges were serious, but a guilty plea showed the youths’ remorse and his focus in sentencing would be on their rehabilitation.
Four more defendants are facing the same charges.
A home-made DVD was circulated in Werribee schools in June last year.
It shows a girl performing a sex act and being urinated on.
