Have fun at festival

RESIDENTS are being urged to celebrate Brimbank’s cultural diversity this weekend at the municipality’s community festival
The Brimbank Community Festival on Saturday 10 September will offer a great day out for the family featuring multicultural food, an entertaining stage program including drumming, singing, belly dancing and hip hop workshops.
There will also be children’s craft activities, a puppet show, face painting, a variety of rides, spot prizes and free show bags.
Mayor Natalie Suleyman said Brimbank’s greatest strength was its mantle as Victoria’s most culturally diverse municipality.
The Brimbank Community Festival will be held from 11am4pm at the West Sunshine Community Centre, Kermeen Street, West Sunshine.
The official launch of council’s program of Commonwealth Games activities will also take place at 1pm.
A free shuttle bus service will operate from City Place, Sunshine Railway Station and West Sunshine Community Centre from 10.45am 4.15pm.
