Sport the winner with redevelopment

BRIMBANK City Council has agreed to a plan to transform Keilor Park Reserve into a major sporting and recreation centre, which will include at least two new soccer fields and other facilities.
The council adopted the plan at last week’s council meeting, estimating the project will cost between $15 and $19 million to complete over 10 years.
The council plans to apply for State Government funding to help finance the redevelopment, which will see new tables, seating and rubbish bins for the gardens, a new shared grass playing field, and two new soccer fields placed in the reserve.
Work has already begun on a new Little Athletics pavilion.
The council says the plan was developed in consultation with the local community and residents.
