Cops swoop on cannabis plants

By Charlene Gatt
FOOTSCRAY police dismantled a clandestine drug lab in Braybrook last week.
The lab was uncovered after officers from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship attended the Windsor St premises earlier in the week and located numerous cannabis plants in a hydroponic system located in four rooms in the house.
The plants were around 1.5 metres tall.
Detectives from the Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit then executed a warrant at the premises and removed the plants. The house is vacant and police are still investigating the incident.
No one has been charged over the find.
