Help for hoops

THE Helping Hoops team got some pointers from the Melbourne Tigers players Ayinde Ubaka and Ron Dorsey last week. The pair started off with an hour-long training session, before sitting down with the boys and talking about their own experiences growing up in America, going through the college basketball programs and ending up with international basketball careers. Helping Hoops is a basketball group of 20 kids from Eastern Africa who all dream of playing professional basketball. The program runs free of charge every Monday at RecWest in Braybrook.
