AN acting class that aims to turn young enthusiastic hearts into bright stars is paying off for one talent wonder.
Fourteen-year-old Lara Briede joined Adam Turnbull Acting in Williamstown last year after an encounter with romance films sparked her interest.
“I just wanted to join and see if it could take me somewhere,” Lara said.
The talented Werribee youngster has big dreams to one day star in a romance film or a TV series but is happy to work on her career one step at a time.
“If I do want to get somewhere in acting neighbours is a show I want to star in.
“I’ve always wanted to star in a romance film or TV series.”
Miss Briede said she has improved with the help of acting teacher Mr Turnbull, and looks forward to challenging herself.
“Instead of being yourself you have a change to get away with everything and have fun with it.”
Miss Briede, who wanted to be a fashion designer and dipped her feet in the modelling pool, decided to express herself through acting.
“I’ve loved acting a lot more than creating clothes… anything to do with acting.”
Mum Jacqueline Bisby said although school work takes priority, Lara has enjoyed the fantastic classes put on by Mr Turnbull.
“Adam has been fantastic, the classes are sensational (and) her acting and modelling has been going really well,” Mrs Bisby said.
“She’s doing it just because she enjoys it and where it takes her is where it takes her.”
