A 20-YEAR-OLD St Albans man was taken to The Alfred hospital after being hit in the head with a bottle after a brawl involving a dozen people broke out in Main Rd West, St Albans.
Police believe three other people were injured during the fight, although they did not require hospital treatment.
The brawl happened about 1.20am yesterday (Monday).
Police were still investigating the circumstances surrounding the fight.
Police blocked off Main Rd West between Emily and Kate streets while they carried out their initial investigations.
They urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
