WYNDHAM City Council will begin developing strategies for health priorities after about 50 people gave feedback at a recent forum.
The health conscious group attended the fourth Talking Point session for the year, in the Wyndham Civic Centre.
It gave residents and service providers an opportunity to contribute to the development of the Wyndham Municipal Public Health Plan 2006-2009.
This plan is designed to promote healthy lifestyles, prevention of disease and illness, and the provision of affordable, quality health services.
Mayor Shane Bourke said the 50 workshopped possible strategies to address six common issues emerging from previous forums – access to services, mental health, substance abuse, family violence, physical activity and nutrition.
Cr Bourke said more than 400 had now been consulted, and a draft plan would be compiled and released for public comment.
