A DEER Park man, who barricaded himself inside the ceiling of a house for three hours during a stand-off with the police, will appear in Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on August 28 to face 29 charges.
Police said the 39-year-old broke into a house on August 12, while the victims were inside and allegedly assaulted one of the victims, who was known to him, stealing cash before he departed.
Police said he returned to his ex-partner’s house, and retreated into the roof cavity of the house where he hid himself, later escaping from the premises on foot, before being arrested in nearby Rob Road.
