POLICE have renewed calls for public assistance in their investigation into the shooting of a 46-year-old man in Werribee last week.
Officers were called to the Rosella Ave address on August 14 at about 4am after a report of gunfire.
They found a man with gunshot wounds to both his legs.
The man was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have been told that three men wearing balaclavas entered the premises and made their way to the lounge room where the victim and his partner were sleeping on a mattress.
An argument took place and one of the intruders produced a handgun and shot the victim in both legs.
The three men then ran from the house out into the street.
