A TOTAL of $72,954 was raised for The Cancer Council Victoria at this year’s Wyndham Relay For Life.
Relay For Life is a 24-hour team running and walking event that is filled with fun, laughter and the occasional tear.
The organising committee adopts a festival atmosphere involving all ages and all sectors of the community coming together to celebrate life.
The money raised helps in the fight against cancer.
Anyone who would like to volunteer to help organise next year’s event can attend the committee’s meeting at the Old Shire Offices, corner Watton St and Duncans Rd, Werribee, on Thursday 13 September at 7.30pm.
