A sweet

APACKAGE of chocolate drives and fundraising events have paid off for students at Mossfiel Primary School in Hoppers Crossing.
The department, since 2002, has gradually upgraded and added to the 36-year-old school in Langridge St.
In addition to $700,000 raised by the school community for the building program, federal and state government funding has helped pay for a new gymnasium and music centre, six classrooms and an E-learning centre with 30 computers.
The school community and government officials last Friday celebrated the opening of the school’s recently built or upgraded facilities.
School business manager Barbara Murphy said the 481 students at the school were simply delighted.
“We’ve been around for a long time, and these improvements are welcome,” she said.
The final upgrade included upgrading the school’s stage with state-of-the-art curtains and lighting, as well as a sound system.
