Eagles fly to ball win

IT was a perfect start for Sunshine as the Baseball Victoria summer season kicked off on the weekend.
The Eagles scored a 4-2 away victory over Essendon on Sunday – a perfect way to begin their campaign for a spot in the finals.
Sunshine also picked up a 5-1 win in the thirds, but the second and fourth teams were both on the receiving end of losses.
The Eagles’ next match is against Bonbeach at home this Sunday.
In other Division One round one games, Malvern defeated Geelong 7-3, Bonbeach comfortably got over Sandringham 8-3, Melbourne thrashed Blackburn 9-2 and Waverley won a thriller against Newport 5-4.
