POLICE are investigating a suspicious house fire in Point Cook on the weekend.
Fire broke out at the Glastonbury Circuit house about 11.30 Sunday night. A man and his wife, both aged in their 30s, escaped unharmed along with their two young children.
The house sustained substantial damage as a result of the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this stage but detectives have not ruled out the fact that it may be linked to a fire, causing damage to a car, at the same house the previous night.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the fire or to anyone that may be able assist detectives with their investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
