TWO local teens have been charged with a number of offences after a series of police pursuits throughout the Western suburbs last week that culminated in a lengthy chase – involving officers on the ground and in the air – on Thursday.
Omer Mohamed, 19, from Altona North, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last week on charges including two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and a number of driving offences.
An unnamed 16-year-old from West Footscray was charged and bailed by police.
Thursday’s pursuit started in Sunshine North before continuing through Newport and Spotswood.
