Melton Shire mayor Chris Papas also paid tribute to 12 churches in the community who also represent the Association of the Combined Churches Caring (CCC) banner.
“The CCC and its network of volunteers do a fantastic and difficult job in getting emergency food relief to people who find themselves in desperate need,” Cr Papas said.
