Police seize

A 20-YEAR-OLD Werribee man travelling at 183 km/h on the Princes Freeway was intercepted by police last week.
The Melbourne-bound 2004 Holden Monaro that the P-plater was driving was seized by police for 48 hours under anti-hoon laws.
He will be facing charges relating to excessive speed and driving at a dangerous speed.
The vehicle was intercepted on the freeway in Hoppers Crossing.
Wyndham Traffic Management members detected the man at about 11.10pm last Thursday and measured his speed with the assistance of a laser unit.
Under the anti-hoon legislation introduced last year, drivers can have their cars impounded for 48 hours for a first offence, three months for a second and permanently for a third.
