GREEN Gully is still searching for its first win of the season after suffering its second loss in a row on Sunday.
The Cavaliers conceded a goal in the opening minute of their clash with Frankston and could not recover, leaving the team with one point out a possible nine to start the 2006 season.
A cracking strike from Frankston’s Andreas Oliveira seconds after kick-off left the home side stunned, and despite having plenty of time to respond Green Gully failed to penetrate the Pines’ defence.
As the game wore on Green Gully had numerous chances to equalise, but a combination of heavy defence and poor finishing kept the score at 1-0 at the final whistle.
The Cavaliers will be looking to score their first win of the year when they travel to play Richmond in round four this week.
