Fashion on display

POINT Cook students will have their hard work seen by thousands of residents thanks to one of their fellow pupils.
As part of the Community Action Project class at Point Cook Senior Secondary College, Madie Roache has decided to set up a display of Year 12 fashion students’ work.
The Year 10 student has taken on the task of putting together a creative display that will showcase the work that the Year 12 students created.
Madie said she hoped the display would open the wider community’s eyes to the students creations.
The project will also help Madie connect with the community and express her love of fashion.
“I love fashion because you can create something from you own imagination and then you can show it off by wearing it,” Maddie said.
“It’s great to be able to look at a finished product and think I created that.”
Centre Manager of the Point Cook Town Centre, Frank Pizi, said he was excited about the display.
“Point Cook Town Centre is very happy to be a part of this installation,” Mr Pizi said.
“It’s a great opportunity for the Point Cook Senior students to display their work and get involved in the wider community.”
Madie’s display will be at the Point Cook Town Centre’s Chill Out Zone, next to Harris Scarfe, from Monday 27 May for one week.
