THOMAS Carr College has brought an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical back to life with a traditional rendition of one of his much loved musicals.
The students performed “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” to a packed house of primary school students last Thursday, which was followed by three consecutive night performances.
Among the cast of colourful characters included Yasmin Ismail in the lead role of “The Narrator”, Joseph was performed by Samuel Hawkwood, and Jake Kougioumtzis convincingly played the Pharoh.
The performance was headed up by the schools music coordinators Matt Morse and Margaret Knurek.
Mr Morse said 63 students spent months preparing for what was an enthralling number of performances that showcased the amazing talents of the students.
“The musical was chosen because it engages all age groups and we could potentially already see the performers within our student body,” Mr Morse said.
“Joseph highlights the talents and abilities of our students.”
