HOPPERS Crossing resident Lynne Jamieson is a magician. She can transform ordinary people into mystical creatures just with the stroke of her brush.
Ms Jamieson is a world renowned face and body artist.
Every year the owner of Facemagic travels to America to show of her skills at conventions and next month she will be touring Europe as other face and body artists try to learn her unique techniques.
Painting a model can take more than three hours and Ms Jamieson said she never paints the same design twice.
“My art is designed for the person I’m painting. I love to make my models look glamorous and to enhance their features,” Ms Jamieson said.
“If I did the design here at home before I had seen the model I wouldn’t be able to connect. I need to see the model first.”
Ms Jamieson has been a professional face and body artist for the past 15 years after a friend convinced her to give it a try and she still loves every time she is able to transform someone.
“I enjoy when my model looks in the mirror and they say ‘I look beautiful’,” she said.
“The model that I painted today, she tells me that I’m the only person that makes her feel glamorous and that’s the biggest thrill I get.”
Ms Jamieson said the international face and body art scene was very competitive.
The highlight of her career was having her work featured on the front cover of the debut release of Illusion, an international magazine celebrating body artists.
