OLD will become new again as the Point Cook Market goes vintage for one night only.
The Jamieson Way Community Centre will host the Nostalgic Dive Vintage Market, which aims to bring the community together over pre-loved, recycled and vintage fashion and accessories.
Centre Coordinator Melinda Collins said the idea behind the market was to give residents a chance to see someone else enjoy items that they no longer need.
“It’s about that item that you really love but you’ve got no use for it now, but it would be nice for someone else to discover that pleasure,” Ms Collins said.
“This is a market for you if you love an item and you don’t want to just put it in the charity bin. It’s also about recycling and one person’s treasure.”
The market will be held on Saturday 15 September from 5pm and Ms Collins said she hoped it would encourage residents to get into the community and meet new people.
“We’ve tried to tap into a different area and also have another event for Point Cook,” she said.
“It’s just about having something different in the community for people to try.”
Ms Collins is calling on people interested in having a stall in the market to get in quick to reserve a spot.
