Police need assault help

By Belinda Nolan
SUNSHINE Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked at the Glengala Hotel in Sunshine last week.
The 31-year-old Rowville resident was playing the poker machines at 6.30pm on Wednesday.
When he got up to go to the toilet, he was followed by two men and assaulted in the toilets.
He suffered serious but non life threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Police believe he may have lost consciousness during the attack, which was committed by one of the men, while the other lay in wait nearby.
Witnesses saw two men leaving the scene shortly after in a red car, which was parked in the hotel car park.
At this stage police do not believe that anything was stolen during the attack.
They are appealing for any witnesses to come forward in a bid to solve the case.
Anyone with any information is urged to call the Sunshine Police Station on 9313 3333.
