SNAGS were burning on barbeques and children were anxiously awaiting the annual fireworks display last week as Wyndham residents from all walks of like celebrated what it means to be Australian. Wyndham Council’s Australia Day celebrations drew hundreds of people to the Victoria University athletics track last Saturday. The event was moved from the Werribee South Beach after several tiger snakes, the fourth most venomous snake in the world, were spotted in the area.
