CASH-strapped community groups will have the chance to vie for more than $13,000 in local grants through Rose Grange Community Fund.
Not-for-profit organisations in Wyndham that are at least a year old can apply for grants of $100, $500 or $1000 until 5pm Friday 27 October.
The annual initiative, run at each of the Dennis Family Corporation’s estates, is now in its fourth year at Rose Grange.
Rose Grange development manager Glen Greening said the funds aimed to help make the community stronger.
“We can do this by supporting the important work done by local groups and by helping them continue their efforts,” Mr Greening said.
In 2005, 16 community organisations received grants towards playground or sports equipment, structural improvements, books, training, food, blankets or events linked to services provided by the group.
Recipients will be announced at a special ceremony in November.
