AN UNLIKELY friendship between two Tarneit pets is something that just has to be seen to be believed. While some pet owners have to place a bell around their cat’s neck to stop them from hunting, Teresa Minniti has no such trouble. Her cat Lefty is best friends with her pet rat Splinter. The two often share meals together and Teresa said Lefty had never showed any interest in making a meal out of his best friend. She attributed the duo’s connection to the fact that Lefty was born without one ear and a few other problems that might make him a bit less inclined to be a hunter.
