VANDALS have gone on a rampage setting fire to a number of house awnings in Hoppers Crossing.
Police believe the thugs targeted six residential addresses and a reserve last week.
The fires were lit in the front yards at homes in Mossfiel Drive, Bayliss Ave, Priestley Ave, Courtney Ave and Bellbridge Drive.
A hessian bag containing offcuts were also set alight while a small scrub fire was started at a reserve off Bayliss Ave.
Sergeant Pat Spezza said the fires had the potential to spread to the houses and cause major damage.
