NINE people, including residents of St Albans, East Keilor and Taylors Hill, have been charged with drug offences after police raided properties across Melbourne’s northern and south eastern suburbs earlier this month.
Police seized a Porsche, a BMW, large amounts of cocaine, ecstasy and amphetamines, guns and about $185,000 in cash following the raids at 12 locations around Melbourne, including Sunshine and St Albans.
Police say the operation has destroyed two long-running drug rings, one in Melbourne’s north west and the other in the south eastern suburbs.
A 39-year old St Albans man and a 28-year-old Taylors Hill man face charges of commercial trafficking, while a 27-year-old East Keilor man faces a charge of trafficking amphetamines.
They are due to appear in court at a later date.
