Taser threat appeal

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a Point Cook man being threatened with a taser last week.
The 33-year-old man was riding his bicycle outbound along Point Cook Rd shortly before 6pm last Wednesday when a group of men in a white commercial van verbally abused him.
The van then turned into a side street and approached the cyclist, the driver stopping it in an attempt to block him in.
A man described as being in his late 20s to early 30s, with short black hair, olive skin, a moustache and possibly unshaven, and wearing a fluorescent yellow work top, leapt out and threatened the cyclist with a taser.
Police are calling for anyone who saw the incident, or who can identify the vehicle or those involved, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.

He rode across to the other side of the road to avoid any confrontation.
The Point Cook man then managed to ride off in the other direction and was unharmed.
