JACK Thomas could face a retrial for alleged terrorism offences.
Federal prosecutors last Friday lodged a final appeal arguing Mr Thomas should be re-tried based on comments he made in a television interview.
The comments he made were about admitting receiving money from al-Qaeda, and falsifying his passport.
A decision on formally acquitting Mr Thomas or ordering a retrial is expected late this week.
The action is separate from Mr Thomas’ High Court bid to fight a control order.
