Day is to thank Footscray

WATCH out Footscray. Victoria University students are planning the largest ‘thank-you’ gift for the city as part of V4U day. On October 14, students and staff from the Footscray Park and Nicholson Street campuses will host a series of workshops to give back to their community. Between 10-15 projects will operate on the day and will include building fences for aged care homes, painting football posts and assisting with the food for the homeless van. Students will receive a free T-shirt, breakfast and lunch on the day, with a celebration party to be held at the conclusion of the event. VU are calling for any other interested community organisations who’d like to be helped on the day. Volunteers will be required between 8am-4pm. For information please call 0409 354 132. 69483 Picture: DAMJAN JANEVSKIWATCH out Footscray. Victoria University students are planning the largest ‘thank-you’ gift for the city as part of V4U day.
