Pocket of Stones launches Bondi Dreaming at Port

Sydney band, Pocket of Stones will be performing in Port Macquarie tonight as part of the launch of their EP Bondi Dreaming. The showcase performance is part of a tour of the east coast of Australia, which kicked off in Sydney last month.
Four-piece acoustic rock band, Pocket of Stones, has been making an impression on the Australian music scene and features Scott McLintock (vocals/guitar), Brendan Biddle (guitar/backing vocals), Rob Hamilton (upright/downright bass) and Chris Jackson (drums).
The quartet’s tour has taken them to Queensland, where they played gigs in Brisbane and busked at the Gold Coast. They perform tonight in Port after travelling from Byron Bay.
Scott said the tour had been going well, despite unrelenting rain and the fear of cabin fever in their car.
“We haven’t killed each other yet, so that’s always a good sign!” he said.
The four talented musicians met while studying at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, where they realised their unique and impressive sound after joining forces on a recording project. They soon formed the band, Pocket of Stones, and are quickly making a name for themselves with their catchy music.
The foursome utilises a mixture of acoustic and electric instruments, with trademark harmonisation and syncopated patterns to create a rich sound that has seen the band wow audiences at festivals and major venues, including The Star’s Rock Lily and The Bondi Music Festival, after only a few short months together.
Pocket of Stones will perform their debut EP, Bondi Dreaming, supported by Chris Rose and Stray Birds at Port Macquarie Hotel on Thursday, February 2 at 8pm. Free entry.
