Year 10 students from Port Macquarie High School were among the volunteers helping to sell Legacy badges in the Port Macquarie CBD.
Legacy was established in 1923 by ex-servicemen to care for the dependents of deceased Australian servicemen. Since that time the organisation has provided financial (particularly with education), social and emotional support to hundreds of thousands of families.
The school’s volunteers were excellent ambassadors, well presented in their school uniform and offering a friendly face. They helped students from other schools to raise several thousand dollars for this wonderful charity.
