12B – Terranora Toucans 39 d LAS Lorikeets 15.
13 years – Seagulls Firebabes 39 d LAS Lifesavers 21.
Cadet C – Saints Gems 33 d Cudgen Rebels 20.

Div 2 – Saints Aztecs 49 d Kingscliff Astrals 41.
Div 1 – Kingscliff Avatars 30 d Cudgen Lightning 23.
Congratulations to our umpire award winners for 2013: Junior umpire – Tegan Jefferies, senior umpire – Laura Donnolly.
Our Meg Grace President’s Award (volunteer for 2013) was Joanne Weaver from Saints Netball Club – Jo has been a huge asset to not only the Saints Club but also to Tweed Netball as a coach, player and volunteer – a worthy recipient of this award.
With grand finals now over we move onto our representative selections and all interested players should head to our website to download the nomination forms as dates will close for under-12s to under-14s this Saturday.
Don’t forget to register for the Laura Geitz clinic to be held at Tweed Netball Association on the 27 September. All nominations and entry fees must be paid via Laura’s websitewww.laurageitz.com.au – as last year Tweed Netball Association will be subsidising all current Tweed Netball registered players which will mean that the total cost at the end of the day will be $7 to all of our members.
Payment must be made via Laura Geitz and Tweed Netball will arrange reimbursement following the clinic. What a great experience to be coached by the recently named Australian captain – get in early as numbers are limited and are selling fast.
Don’t forget our annual general meeting to be held at South Tweed Sports Club (opposite Tweed River High) on Wednesday, 18 September from 6.30pm.
Nominations for all positions (both executive and non-executive) are open and should be submitted in writing on our nomination form either prior to or on the night of the meeting.
Big thank you to my executive for 2013 – Debbie Curtis, Ellen Kleijn, Alison Crawford, Tracy MacKenzie, Heidi Moloney and Sandra O’Brien its been a long year but an enjoyable one which I know I couldn’t have survived without you all being involved.
Thank you to Nicole Cusack for your undying support of Tweed Netball with hosting our clinics, education of our players as well as assisting with Rep Selections we are extremely grateful for your assistance and expert advice over the years.
Best wishes for the off-season and keep your eye on our website for details of our Monday night competition start dates.
