Heads will bow at 11am tomorrow for the annual Remembrance Day ceremony.
A Commemorative Service and Wreath Laying Ceremony will be held at the War Memorial on the Town Green commencing at 10.40am.
The guest speaker will be US Consul General Niels Marquardt.
All ex-service personnel and members of the public, including school students, are encouraged to attend and place a wreath in memory of those fallen.
The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month attained a special significance in post-war years, the moment when hostilities ceased on the Western Front.
It became universally associated with remembrance of all those who had died in war. This first modern world conflict had brought about the mobilisation of over 70 million people and left between nine and 13 million dead, perhaps as many as one-third of them with no known grave.
Each year Australians observe one minute’s silence in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.
