NEXT stop is the United States for the talented Wauchope and Port Macquarie Performing Arts (WPMPA) dance students.
A group of 54 WPMPA members left for America last Saturday where the talented dancers will perform on a number of California’s most famous stages.
The group will start their adventure at Disneyland where after breakfast with Goofy and friends they will participate in a Disney Dance Master class.
This will be followed by a performance of their show Dance through the Decades choreographed by studio principal Stacey Morgan.
Over seven days, the students will also perform at Disney’s California Adventure, Universal studios and on Hollywood Boulevard, as well as being given the opportunity to train at one of the world’s biggest and most famous dance studios, The Edge.
Here they will take classes with instructors who have worked with a range of famous entertainers like Britney Spears, Usher and Michael Jackson.
The trip culminates in the students featured performance during the Disney Dance the Magic Parade, where they will dance alongside studios from all over the world.
Ms Morgan said the trip was a terrific chance for the dance group to show the world how talented they were.
“The students have been fund-raising and rehearsing for over 18 months and we all can’t wait to get over there and perform,” she said.
“It’s going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity!”
