A Port Macquarie-based mental health charity was given a boost recently by the talented blokes at the local
Men’s Shed.
The gents banded together to build the Endeavour Clubhouse some smart collection boxes for people’s small change; the boxes incorporate Endeavour’s new logo.
Endeavour thought that the Men’s Shed would be the perfect organisation to create the boxes which look like
cubby houses.
The boxes will appear in a number of locations around town.
Endeavour’s main aim is to get better known as a home-town charity, by ensuring that local people recognise the logo on the boxes.
Endeavour plans to build a Clubhouse at Hamilton Green for the purpose of providing work and/or a daily focus for members, all of whom suffer from, or have suffered from, a mental illness.
If there are any businesses that would like to promote the boxes, please give Wendy Hall a ring on 0478 051 781.
Endeavour Clubhouse’s next big fundraiser will be a car/boat/anything-on-wheels sale at Port Macquarie racecourse on the weekend of September 10-11.
The funds raised from “renting a space” for your wheeled item will go to Endeavour Clubhouse. Endeavour Clubhouse can be contacted on 6583 3600.
