Listen to the people

In reply to Luke Marshall (Clean Energy Future)
Putting a price on pollution is not the most efficient way to reduce Australia’s emissions.
The most effective way of doing that is to limit the number of people doing the emitting.
If Robert Oakeshott truly believes in man-made climate change, why does he keep in office a Government that has  announced the biggest permanent migration program in Australian history?  The 2011-12 program will bring 199,750 more  people.
The vast majority can clearly see that this tax will be  paid for by the end consumer. It will do nothing to total global emissions and, if Rob Oakeshott was acting in the best interests of Port Macquarie residents, he would be representing their wishes, not opposing them.
