North Coast Surf Boat Series action

Pictured is the action at Bonny Hills during round 7 (of 9 rounds) of the North Coast Surf Boat Series (NCSBS) which has been running since 1994 and has been supported by crews from Forster to Kingscliff.
Surf boat rowing is an iconic part of surf life saving.
Surf boats were the original rescue craft and are still being used today as rescue craft, although today’s hybrid craft is designed as an out and out racing craft.
To race surf boats, Clubs outlay significant amounts of money on equipment to give their respective Club members the opportunity to show their skills in competition.
