A Port Macquarie man was one of six students to receive a NSW TAFE State medal at the recent Awards Ceremony held at the Coffs Harbour TAFE campus.
Shay Cronin, who was nominated by his TAFE teacher Brad Clarke, took out the award in the category of Wall and Floor Tiling.
“Shay was one of the best students I’ve ever had,” Mr Clark said.
Shay completed his apprenticeship with Brad Pepper in Port Macquarie.
In his acceptance speech, Shay thanked his teacher Brad Clarke for following him around to job sites to discuss his TAFE assignments and administer the relevant tests when work commitments kept him from attending Port Macquarie TAFE college.
