WITH PIC OF PAUL KELLY
LEGENDARY Australian singer songwriter Paul Kelly is coming to Port Macquarie in August.
Kelly will play at The Glasshouse as part of his Spring and Fall national tour.
He will play his new record in its entirety, followed by a generous selection of older songs. This selection will change from venue to venue and will include well-known songs and a few surprises.
“Spring and Fall is a song cycle which is just a fancy way of saying – if you listen to the songs in order they tell a story,” Kelly said.
“Each song links to the next and the whole piece is a love story told from multiple points of view.”
Australian Music Prize nominee Urthboy will be open the show at The Glasshouse.
Kelly and Urthboy first worked together in 2008, when Urthboy reworked song From Little Things Big Things Grow to celebrate Kevin Rudd’s apology to the Stolen Generations.
More recently they have collaborated on a cover of the Hunters and Collectors song True Tears Of Joy.
Tickets are $79.50 for the Saturday 3 August performance, which starts at 7pm.
General public tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow.
