Confidence in the economy builds

In their response to this year’s Federal Budget, the Master Builders Association said: “Business confidence is severly lacking in the building and construction industry. The industry faces a stalled housing recovery and commercial builders are experiencing a severe slow down.”
Fortunately this is not the case for J & E Miller (Builders) Pty Ltd, a builder of quality homes in the Hastings for over thirty years.
“We have just launched a new web site, such is the consumer interest in new homes,” says John Miller, hands-on builder and director of the company.
“We are finding many retirees are downsizing to villa style residences. These are usually an uncomplicated design, yet not lacking in quality or inclusions.
“By having an interactive web site, our team can spend more time on the tools. Clients can upload their own concepts and plans and get an obligation-free appraisal on their project
“Last year was financially tough, this year there has been a shift in activity and we feel confident things are slowly improving. Our recently completed display home at Whistler Drive has sparked a lot of interest with new home seekers, and many inquiries have been converted to contracts as a result. Where most of this work is local, in the Hastings area, we do even have a project to start in Cobar.”
