A leading Port Macquarie mental health charity held a Black Friday Morning Tea recently to raise money for its cause.
The theme of black — black clothing, black food and black prizes, even “Black Trivia” – proved immensely popular with the 80 people attending.
Since being awarded $150,000 by the NSW Governments Building Fund in December 2010, Endeavour has now begun talks with another local enterprise, Wesley Uniting Employment, to get its brand new building started.
The Clubhouse building will be in Hamilton Green.
Eventually it will be a meeting and working venue for “members” who have experienced, or are suffering from, a mental illness and will provide rehabilitation for those who attend.
