A local hotel has been named as one of a handful of finalists for Telstra’s 2011 NSW Business Awards announced on Friday.
The 4.5-star The Observatory Hotel on Town Beach, managed by Southern Cross Resorts’ Chris and Trish Denny, is among just 20 finalists selected by judges from hundreds of nominations for the top awards from across the State.
Southern Cross Resorts is among six finalists for the Innovation Award and just four contenders for the Social Responsibility Award.
Country finalists are also in the running to be judged for the 2011 Telstra Regional Business Award and all 20 companies are eligible for the People’s Choice Award.
Residents may cast a vote at www.telstrabusinessawards.com until Friday,
June 17.
State winners will share in $500,000 in cash and prizes and go forward to the Telstra national awards in Melbourne in August.
