THE Lions Club of Crescent Head has announced that two of the three gold sponsorship positions for its Head to Head Walk Run have been snatched up already.
Healthy Communities in the Macleay Valley and Macleay Valley Coastal Holiday Parks have accepted the position of gold sponsor.
Negotiations are continuing with a third prospect.
Healthy Communities in the Macleay Valley is a healthy communities initiative of the Kempsey Shire Council funded by the Federal Government and brings healthy living plans and ideas to the whole community.
This event fits well into the objects of this project and it has been instrumental in setting up a website, assisting the set up the committee as well as helping Lions formulate the management plan.
Macleay Valley Coastal Holiday Parks operates the caravan parks situated at Crescent Head, Hat Head, Grassy Head, Stuarts Point and Horseshoe Bay South West Rocks. It values community initiatives that improve the experience for visitors and residents alike and were keen to support this event.
Gold sponsors will have their logo appear on all marketing and promotional material and they will be named as sponsors in all media releases and will feature on our dedicated website www.headtoheadwalkrun.org.au. They will also have a display tent at the event for any promotions they wish.
Lions Club of Crescent Head is still keen to recruit 10 silver and 20 bronze sponsors at a cost of $1,000 and $500 respectively.
The Head to Head Walk Run will offer teams, families and individuals of all age groups the chance to walk or run 5kms, 10kms or 20kms starting and finishing at Crescent Head beach.
Why not get together with friends, family or just as an individual and check out the different walk or run options available on the day. To find out more about this exciting new event visit the website www.headtoheadwalkrun.org .au. The website will feature detailed information including an event schedule, comprehensive training tips from an exercise physiologist and a link to registration forms.
