Tower of power

A fixed-wireless tower will be constructed at Gloucester South as part of the Federal Government’s National Broadband Network rollout.
Independent Lyne MP Rob Oakeshott is encouraging residents who live near the Gloucester South site, 21 Jacks Road, to look into how the development will affect them.
“The NBN fixed-wireless towers mean some households in Gloucester will, for the first time, have access to high-speed broadband,” Mr Oakeshott said.
“That means access to significantly faster speeds than what is available now through ADSL services.
“I encourage affected property owners to look at the plans and to comment on them before July 24.”
Fixed-wireless towers have already been built, or are being constructed, at Tallwoods Village, Koorainghat, Firefly, Tinonee, Lansdowne, Upper Lansdowne, Moorland, Johns River, Kendall North, Comboyne, Wingham, Mitchells Island, Brimbin, Telegraph Point and Glenthorne.
