A select group of students, staff and community members were presented with awards at the Hastings Valley Community of Schools Education Week function held at Westport High School recently.
Four members of Port Macquarie High School were among the group, including Year 11 student Matt Alger, who was rewarded for his academic prowess, particularly in science and also public speaking.
Madison Hickey of Year 10 received her award for her talents in basketballCanteen supervisor Mrs Rose Bivona was acknowledged for the wonderful service she provides for students (and staff) with delicious and nutritious food, while teacher Mrs Sue MacGibbon was nominated for her contribution to the school in the maths faculty.
Parents, family and friends were entertained by the combined Valley Vox Choir and the talented musicians who were part of the combined orchestra.
